Inspired by the clouds, the mist and the ethereal ambiance that almost rituallisticaly embrace the Mountain Ranges of Momostenango every afternoon. The Lana (wool in spanish) series explores the use of the traditional Momostenango high pile wool, typically used for rugs, in a new context. This wool is a special virgin Wool from Momostenango, a mistical and remote village known for its centuries old tradition of wool work in the Guatemalan Highlands.

We pay homage to this tradition by creating a series of objects that phisicaly and metaphoricaly captures the escence of Momostengo with its wool as its clouds softly contouring the series curved shapes with concentric lines, that allows for the wool flow gracefully and become a soft refuge, a dreamscape that comforts you as you let these pieces embrace you.
