OBJECT No. 10 / LANA DAYBED

Inspired by the clouds, the mist and the ethereal ambiance that almost rituallisticaly embrace the Mountain Ranges of Momostenango every afternoon. The Lana (wool in spanish) series explores the use of the traditional Momostenango Wool in a new context, this wool is a special virgin Wool from Momostenango, a mistical and remote village in the Guatemalan Highlands known for its centuries old wool work .

We pay homage to this tradition by creating a chair that phisicaly and metaphoricaly captures the escence of Momostengo with its wool as its clouds softly contouring the chair’s curved shape with concentric lines, that allows for the wool flow gracefully and become a soft refuge, a dreamscape that comforts you as you let the chair embrace you.
